"A Lovely Stay at Fairway"

Along with a steady flow of five star Trip Advisor reviews (and massive thanks to all concerned for those!) we've been fortunate to find some very kind notes left for us by departing guests in their bedrooms after they've checked out ...

"Thank-you for a lovely stay, enjoyed breakfast and room was lovely and clean. Hospitality great, will stay again when we're traveling this way"

"Lovely nights' stay THANK-YOU for the water, best tea-tray ever, lovely bathroom & shampoo etc. Comfy bed, all so clean"

"Thank-you so much for such a comfortable night.  It is the best we have had all through the week.  It has been much appreciated"

We also received a most generous email on Monday from a visitor who stayed with us last weekend for a family celebration.  Here's what she had to say ....

"A LOVELY STAY AT FAIRWAY"
"Just wanted to send this to let you know how delighted I was with my stay at Fairway Guest House over the past couple of days.  I can't praise it enough. As you know I have relatives living in the area and have recommended Fairway as a place for them to try for any future guests they may have.
Your guest house is very comfortable - my room was charming, very tastefully decorated and I appreciated all the little touches that separate good guest houses from excellent ones!  For example, fresh bottled water available each day, the little dish in the bathroom with cotton buds and pads and the hairdryer also available.
Breakfast also could not be faulted and Karen was so attentive and welcoming with I presume Mike doing an excellent job in the kitchen behind the scenes.  Loved the poached eggs and the big bowl of fresh fruit for breakfast was also noted, appreciated and enjoyed!!  Again it is these small details that make your guest house stand out - the lighting in the dining room - everything beautifully co-ordinated.
So thank you once again - it helped to make a lovely weekend even more special!  If I get the opportunity again, you will be my first port of call.  Good luck for the future to you both.

I can't deny, by this time of year we are all pretty much exhausted but, at the same time would have to say running a seaside Guest House really can also be very, very rewarding :)

Our first Reviews for 2014 are in .....

We are very fortunate that so many of our visitors kindly go on to leave us positive reviews on the Trip Advisor website when they return home after their stay.  It really does help give confidence to people may be thinking of booking accommodation with us and we do appreciate it. 
We were especially pleased that having only re-opened at the beginning of March this year we've already had two brand new and very positive reviews posted.

“Perfect B&B”

Well home again after spending a lovely few days at the Fairway Guest House, as always a warm welcome awaited us.  This will be the sixth year visiting this beautiful B&B (we try to get 2 visits a year if we can!!) I think this just speaks for itself, a huge thank you to Karen and Mike for your outstanding hospitality (not forgetting Emily who keeps our Room Spic and Span during our stay)

Truly home from home, and spotlessly clean, I think they’ve just about thought of everything you may need for your stay.

Seriously comfy beds, you just won’t want to get out of, but once up and showered you have a delicious breakfast to look forward to which will set you up for the day!! Lovely selection, well thought out Menu, nothing too much trouble, if they’ve got it you can have it!!!

Which is why this B&B has a AA Gold Star Award (Highly Commended)  Truly well deserved

What we like least of all is having to say goodbye at the end of our stay!

Room Tip: All Rooms are excellent, but our favourite is Room 3 (lovely views over Golf Course)

“Excellent Guest House”

Stayed here for 3 nights in this beautifully kept guest house, only mistake on our part not staying longer, really nice people, breakfast was fantastic loads of choice, great way to start the day.  The room was to a very high standard, lovely views over the golf course.  This was by far the best guest house we have stayed in, only a short walk to Bude town centre and the beach. We would like to thank Karen and Mike for making our stay an enjoyable one
